BHAVYA Portal: 100 Industrial Parks, Backhoe Loader Boom

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal launched the BHAVYA Portal on June 8 to coordinate development of 100 industrial parks under a Rs 33,660 crore scheme, The Infra Post reported. The portal is intended to centralise planning and approvals as the Centre pushes plug-and-play industrial infrastructure across states.

Industrial park construction is the home turf of versatile, mid-size machines. Site grading, trenching for utilities, internal roads, boundary work and drainage are exactly the duty cycle where a backhoe loader earns its keep, supported by compactors, graders and tipper fleets. Unlike single mega-projects, a 100-park programme spreads work across dozens of districts — which historically benefits local hirers and first-time buyers more than national contractors.

The scheme builds on the industrial corridor programme, under which nodal cities like Dholera in Gujarat, and Vikram Udyogpuri have already generated sustained earthmoving demand. If states move land parcels and developers onto the portal quickly, ground-level work could begin spreading through FY27.

Allocation details per park and the tendering route for trunk infrastructure are yet to be detailed.
