Corrections Policy and Corrections Log
DesiMachines publishes equipment-industry news, project sanctions, industry data and price information for machine buyers in India. We get things wrong sometimes. This page explains what we do about it, and keeps a public record of every correction we have made.
How to report an error
Email hello@desimachines.com with the page URL and what you believe is wrong. If you can point us at the source that shows the correct figure, that speeds things up a great deal. You can also use our contact page.
We read every message about a factual error and reply. If you are an OEM, dealer, financier or government body and we have misstated something about you, write to us directly and we will deal with it ahead of anything else in the queue.
What we do when we are wrong
- Factual errors are fixed on the page and a dated correction note is added at the foot of the article saying what changed. We do not quietly edit a figure and leave the page looking untouched.
- If the error changed the meaning of the story (a wrong project value, a misattributed order, the wrong OEM), the correction note goes at the top, not the bottom.
- If a story cannot be stood up after publication, we withdraw it and leave a note at the URL explaining why. We do not delete the page silently.
- Prices and specifications are dated indicative ranges, not quotes. When a range moves, we update it and change the “last updated” date. That is a routine refresh, not a correction, and it is not logged here.
Who is responsible
Editorial responsibility for our news coverage rests with Parinita Kedia, Director at Desi Machines Pvt Ltd. Our sourcing and verification standards, our use of technology in production, and our commercial disclosures are set out in full in our editorial policy.
We sell and broker equipment, and we say so openly. It does not buy coverage, and it does not protect anyone from a correction.
Corrections log
Every correction we publish is listed here, newest first, with the date, the page and what changed.
No corrections have been published to date. This log started on 30 July 2026. If that changes, entries will appear here rather than being folded quietly into the articles.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly do you correct an error?
Same day for anything that affects a number, a name or a date. Judgement calls and disputed interpretations take longer because we go back to the primary document first.
Will you remove an article if I ask?
Not for being unflattering. We will correct anything inaccurate, add your response where it is warranted, and withdraw a story we cannot stand up. Accurate reporting stays published.
Do you accept paid or sponsored articles in the news section?
No. Our news section carries no sponsored posts and no paid placements, and a commercial relationship does not earn coverage or shield anyone from it.
