PHED has invited percentage-rate bids to augment and rehabilitate the Urban Water Supply Scheme for Dholpur under Amrut 2.0. Like its Bharatpur twin, the package carries a one-year defect-liability period and five years of operation and maintenance, so the winner stays on the scheme long after the last pipe is laid. The disclosed estimate is ₹71.28 Cr, with bidding opening 15 July on a three-cover system.
Town water-supply work is a mix of trenching and tankage. Excavators and backhoe loaders cut pipe lines through Dholpur’s streets, tippers shuttle spoil and bedding, and cranes handle pipe and pumping sets. Overhead tanks, sumps and pump houses bring in the concrete crews. With most of the work in built-up areas, neat reinstatement and compact machines count for a lot — this is municipal ground, not open country.
PHED floated Dholpur together with a matching Bharatpur UWSS package on identical terms and the same deadline, so a contractor working the eastern Rajasthan belt can size up both. The EMD here is ₹1.43 Cr with exemption allowed, and the tender fee ₹25,000.
