B.L. Kashyap and Sons has won a Rs 495.86 crore order from Signature Global (India) to build the civil structure, and part of the MEP, for four towers and their basements. It is the contractor’s second building order in eight days, and for owners of tower cranes, concrete pumps, transit mixers and basement-dig excavators it is a 40-month job worth pricing now.
The quick facts
- Winner: B.L. Kashyap and Sons; client: Signature Global (India) Limited, the Gurugram real estate developer. Letter of award received and accepted on 23 October 2026 at 4:15 pm, per the company’s Regulation 30 filing.
- Value: Rs 495.86 crore (company-stated). Neither report says whether GST is included.
- Scope: civil structure and part MEP works for four towers and their basements, covering residential and commercial ancillary buildings.
- Term: about 40 months from site handover. Not disclosed: project name, site, tower heights or the number of basement levels.
What B.L. Kashyap announced
The contractor told the exchanges on Saturday, 24 October. Business Upturn and Zee Business both carried the same value, scope and 40-month term from the filing. Zee Business also recalled the 16 October order from Nourish Developers: Rs 200.02 crore of civil structure work for phase 3 of Smart World One DXP in Gurugram’s Sector 113, due in 25 months. The company stated that no promoter-group entity has an interest in Signature Global, so this is not a related-party contract.
What it means for buyers
Start with the money shape. Rs 495.86 crore over 40 months is about Rs 12.4 crore of work a month, or roughly Rs 124 crore a tower before you strip out the basements and the MEP slice. MEP money buys pipes, cable, pumps and fittings, not site plant, so the machine-relevant share is smaller than the headline.
The fleet comes in two phases. Basements go first, and that is the short, intense part: 20-tonne class excavators loading tippers, a rock breaker if the dig hits hard strata, and sometimes a piling rig for the retaining wall. That phase usually lasts a few months, which is why most building contractors hire it.
Once the raft is cast, the job becomes a concrete train for the rest of the term. Expect tower cranes, often one per tower, concrete pumps or placing booms, ready-mix or a site batching plant, and a steady shuttle of transit mixers. On a four-tower, 40-month job that is the demand worth a long lease or an outright purchase.
Now add the two orders together. Rs 200.02 crore plus Rs 495.86 crore means B.L. Kashyap booked Rs 695.88 crore of new building work between 16 and 23 October, from two Gurugram developers. If the Signature Global site is in Gurugram too, timing matters: the GRAP air-quality curbs have halted excavation on bad-air days in recent winters, so a winter handover may push the basement dig into the February to May window.
Our take: with no site, basement depth or tower height on record, nobody can size the cranes yet. Treat this as a pipeline signal for crane and pump hire firms in the NCR rather than a booked fleet. Our building construction equipment guide maps the machine classes these jobs use.
What to watch
- The project name, location and tower heights, which set crane size and count.
- The site handover date, which starts the 40-month clock and the basement dig.
- B.L. Kashyap’s next results, which should restate the order book with both October orders inside it.
