PHED has invited percentage-rate bids to augment and rehabilitate the Urban Water Supply Scheme for Dholpur under Amrut 2.0. Like its Bharatpur twin, the package carries a one-year defect-liability period and five years of operation and maintenance, so the winner stays on the scheme long after the last pipe is laid. The disclosed estimate is ₹71.28 Cr, with bidding opening 15 July on a three-cover system.
Machines on the ground
Town water-supply work is a mix of trenching and tankage. Excavators and backhoe loaders cut pipe lines through Dholpur’s streets, tippers shuttle spoil and bedding, and cranes handle pipe and pumping sets.
