Andhra Pradesh’s Water Resources Department wants the HNSS Phase II main canal modernised from km 400.500 to km 458.975 / 463.000. The work is cement concrete lining, shotcreting and construction of the balance cross-masonry and cross-drainage (CM and CD) works. Two tunnel reaches are inside the scope: km 411.850 to km 415.650 and km 420.850 to km 426.150.

Rayalaseema’s hard rock means breakers and drilling rigs are needed at the structures too. Contractors already on HNSS reaches near Anantapur and Kadiri have plant close by, and they will be hiring extra excavators and mixers for the lining season.
