Kannur CRIF Road Tenders: Two General Civil Work Packages in Kannur (Rs 61.22 Cr)

Two Kannur district roads go out together under the central road infrastructure fund at ₹61.22 crore, and both Kannur CRIF road tenders close at 5:00 PM on 30 November 2026.

Two roads, one office, one deadline

The Superintending Engineer, NH Kerala PWD at Kozhikode, under RO Thiruvananthapuram of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, has issued two general civil work packages under CRIF 2025-26. The first covers improvements to the Aravanchal to Purakunnu to Perool to Narikkampally to Pilathara road at ₹32,65,30,554, reference 09/2026-27/SE/NH/KKD/SN. The second covers the Madayi to Mattool to Ettikkulam HS to Palakkode road at ₹28,57,13,515, reference 07/2026-27/SE/NH/KKD/SN.

Both are item rate contracts with 540 days and both close on the same evening, which makes them a natural pair for one contractor. The alignments are in the coastal north of Kannur district, within easy reach of each other.

Deposits, fees and the CRIF route

EMD is ₹49,00,000 on the Aravanchal package and ₹42,90,000 on the Madayi package, with a tender fee of ₹16,540 on each. Bids open at 11:00 AM on 2 December. CRIF money comes from the central fund for state and district road improvement, and the packages are usually sized for mid-range contractors rather than large EPC firms.

The same office already has the Alachi to Thillenkery CRIF road out to bid, so three Kannur packages are live at once. Kerala also has strengthening work on NH-183 between Anjilimoodu and Kumily open.

Coastal Kannur road work

General civil work here is widening, drainage, cross drainage and resurfacing on roads that carry local traffic all day. Keep the fleet light and mobile: a backhoe loader per package for drains and side work, one mid-size excavator shared between them, a motor grader and tandem compactors moving between fronts.
