Four Odisha rural bridge tenders worth ₹132.59 crore together, over the Birupa, Baitarani, Ib and Budhabalanga rivers, close at 5:00 PM on 3 October 2026.
Four bridges in four districts
Odisha’s Rural Works organisation has put four separate bridges out under one notice, 03/2026-27 (Bridges). The largest is over the Birupa at 6.00 km on the Itua to Athamania road in Cuttack district, at ₹45.51 crore. Next is the Baitarani crossing at 1.150 km on the Erendei to Mirigikhoji road in Keonjhar, at ₹32.98 crore. Sundergarh gets a high-level bridge over the Ib on the Bhagapali to Gangpurgarh road at ₹27.97 crore, and Mayurbhanj a bridge over the Budhabalanga at Bhendia Ghat, on the Kudiapal Chhaka to Kalabadia road, at ₹26.12 crore.
Each one is its own tender with its own ID and deposit, so you can bid for one and leave the rest.
Sized for district bridge contractors
These are percentage-rate contracts between ₹26 crore and ₹46 crore, which is the range a regional bridge contractor can carry without a joint venture. EMD is 1 per cent of each estimate, from ₹26,12,310 on Budhabalanga to ₹45,51,386 on Birupa, and the portal allows EMD exemption for eligible bidders. The fee is ₹10,000 per tender.
Watch the time allowed. Birupa and Baitarani give 900 days, the Ib bridge 730, and the Budhabalanga bridge is listed at only 180 days, so check that figure in the document before you commit plant. If you work the state’s highway jobs as well, the national highway bridge packages in Odisha and the NH-326 widening tender are still open.
Plant you will want on a river bed
River bridges are won or lost in the foundations. Plan for a piling rig or well-sinking set, a crawler or mobile crane for cages and girders, and excavators for pits, cofferdams and approach cutting. Transit mixers and a pump feed the piers and deck, and a compactor finishes the approach embankments on both banks. With bids opening on 5 October and the dry season ahead, the contractor who can mobilise before the next monsoon has the easier job.
