Four accident-prone spots on two south Tamil Nadu highways are being rebuilt for good, and the ₹145.11 crore Madurai Tuticorin blackspot tender closes at 11:00 AM on 1 December 2026.

Four blackspots in one contract

NHAI has bundled permanent rectification of two blackspots on the Madurai to Tuticorin section of NH-38 with two more on the Tuticorin to Tirunelveli section of NH-138. The regional office at Chennai and the project unit at Madurai are running it, reference NHAI/17011/01/164/2026/RO Madurai, on EPC mode with 548 days.

Permanent rectification is not patchwork.
