Jharkhand’s Road Construction Department has three Dumka road tenders open worth ₹334.29 crore together, led by ₹285.09 crore for 51.93 km of the Govindpur Sahebganj road, with deadlines on 22 and 26 October 2026.
Three notices from one division
All three come from the Executive Engineer, Road Division, Dumka, with consecutive reference numbers. The big one widens and strengthens the Govindpur to Sahebganj ADB road, SH-18, from km 139.00 to km 190.930, to two lanes with paved shoulders. It is worth ₹285,09,11,533, gives 730 days and closes at 12:00 noon on 26 October.
The second covers the 9.172 km Kherabani (SH-15) to Ranighaghar road at ₹35,97,23,885, with 270 days. The third is a high-level bridge over the Sidheswari river at chainage 18.255 km of the Gumro to Ghasimarni (Fatehpur) road via Garapather, at ₹13,22,26,520 with 730 days. Those two close earlier, at 12:00 noon on 22 October.

These are item-rate contracts with no EMD exemption. Deposits are ₹2,85,10,000 for SH-18, ₹35,98,000 for the Kherabani road and ₹13,23,000 for the bridge, about 1 per cent each, and the fee is ₹10,000 per tender. A district contractor can go for the bridge or the link road alone. The SH-18 package needs a firm that can run two or three paving fronts over 52 km.
Widening an old state highway is earthwork first. Excavators and tippers cut the new width and bring in fill, motor graders lay the granular layers and compactors follow. A hot-mix plant with wheel loaders supports the blacktop. On the bridge, a crane and transit mixers do the heavy work. Owners in Dumka, Deoghar and Godda are close enough to supply all three sites.
