NH-75 Blackspot Grade Separator Tender, Karnataka (Rs 821.49 Cr)

NHAI has invited bids worth ₹821.49 crore to build grade separators at MoRTH-identified accident blackspots on the NH-75 corridor in Karnataka, and bids close on 3 November 2026.

Fixing the worst junctions on NH-75

This is a safety job, not a new road. The notice covers grade separators at selected locations between Km 216.91 and Km 302.42 of the NH-75 corridor, which works out to an effective improvement length of 25.6 km. Each location is a spot the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has flagged for repeated crashes, so the design goal is to lift through traffic over or under local crossings.

It is funded under NH(O) and runs on EPC mode from NHAI’s head office, reference NHAI/KNT/Blackspots/ NH-75/2026(E-221015). The completion period on the portal is 730 days, roughly two years.

Who can realistically bid

A ₹821 crore EPC package with an EMD of ₹8.21 crore is sized for established highway contractors with flyover and structures experience. Smaller firms and machine owners still have a way in through sub-contracts for earthwork, approach roads, service roads and drainage, which every grade separator needs on both sides. A pre-bid meeting is set for 12 October 2026 at NHAI HQ in New Delhi, the best place to raise questions on the drawings.

Machines a grade separator job keeps busy

Structures dominate here. Piling rigs and cranes handle foundations and girder launching, while transit mixers feed the piers and decks. The approach ramps are earthwork: excavators and tippers for fill, motor graders and rollers for the layers, and backhoe loaders for utility shifting and drains around live traffic.
