Delhi contractors have until 11:00 AM on 15 October 2026 to bid for the UER-II service road tender, a ₹121.57 crore EPC job to build a two-lane secondary service road along Urban Extension Road II.
What NHAI wants built
The work is a two-lane secondary service road along UER-II, built within the available right of way in Delhi. NHAI’s Delhi regional office is the inviting authority, under reference NHAI/PIU-DWE /UER-II/SSR/2026. No land is being acquired, so the road has to fit between the main carriageway and the boundary, around drains, electric lines and other utilities that are already there.
The portal lists the period of work as 4,015 days. That is far longer than a road of this size takes to build, and it most likely includes a long maintenance period, so check the split between construction and maintenance in the RFP.
Cost of entry
The estimate is ₹121.57 crore. EMD is ₹1,21,00,000 with no exemption, and the fee is ₹20,000. Bids open on 16 October. Urban EPC work pays for good planning more than for big machines: utility shifting, night working and traffic permissions decide whether the job makes money.
Space is the limit on a service road. Backhoe loaders and mini or mid-size excavators do trenching and box cutting where a bigger machine cannot turn. Layers go down with a motor grader and a tandem roller, and drain and culvert concrete arrives by transit mixer. Machines that meet Delhi’s emission rules are a must, since older engines can be stopped from working during pollution curbs.
