What the Thiruvananthapuram Outer Ring Road tender covers
The ring road is a new four-lane section of NH-866 that loops around the east of Thiruvananthapuram, from Navaikulam at chainage 0.000 in the north to Vizhinjam at chainage 62.700 in the south, where the new deep-water port sits. Its job is to take port and long-distance traffic off the city roads and NH-66. NHAI’s project unit in Thiruvananthapuram runs the tender, which was published on 5 June 2026.
The contract is BOT, so the concessionaire funds construction and recovers it from the road. That keeps the main bid to developers, but the build is shared out far more widely.
