Eight small towns across Tripura are getting better streets and drains under two ADB-funded packages worth ₹145.01 crore, and the Tripura roads storm water drainage tender closes on 30 October 2026, at 3:00 PM for Cluster IVA and 4:00 PM for Cluster VA.
Which towns are in which package
Cluster IVA covers Bishalgarh, Sonamura, Santirbazar and Sabroom in the south and west of the state. It is estimated at ₹80.60 crore, reference 78CECPEETUDARSDIVAADB202627. Cluster VA covers Jirania, Teliamura, Kamalpur and Panisagar, estimated at ₹64.41 crore, reference 79CECP_EETUDA_RNSD_5AADB_26_27.
Both are item rate contracts from the Executive Engineer, Tripura Urban Planning and Development Authority (TUDA), UD Bhawan, with 1,095 days to finish. Each cluster is a separate bid.
Bid security and meetings
EMD is ₹80,60,000 for Cluster IVA and ₹64,41,000 for Cluster VA, which is 1 per cent, with no exemption. The fee is ₹20,000 each. Pre-bid meetings are on 7 October at the TUDA office, at 3:30 PM for IVA and 4:30 PM for VA. Bids open half an hour after each closing time.
The Cluster VA towns also have a water supply tender closing on 16 October, so a firm that wins both will be laying pipes and rebuilding the same streets. NHIDCL’s Udaipur Sabroom NH-08 tender runs through the IVA area.
Small-town roads need small machines
Town streets in Tripura are narrow, and the rain is heavy for half the year. Backhoe loaders dig the drains and widen the edges, a mini excavator works in the tightest lanes, and a motor grader with rollers rebuilds the pavement layers. Covered RCC drains take steady concrete from mixers. With four towns in each package, the contractor will hire locally in each one, which is an opening for backhoe and roller owners across the state.
