The Chief Engineer, Project Swastik, at Gangtok issued it under reference CE (P) SWTK/10/2026-27/EPC. The portal puts the value at ₹1,91,21,80,850 and gives 365 days.
One year for 18.48 km of high altitude road is tight. North Sikkim closes down for weeks at a stretch in winter and again when the Teesta runs high, so the real working season inside those 365 days is a good deal shorter than the calendar suggests. Build that into the programme before you build it into the price.

This alignment runs on the valley wall, so formation cutting and retaining structures take most of the money. Excavators fitted with breakers do the rock, and tippers carry spoil to approved dumps rather than tipping over the edge. Breast walls and crate work need a steady concrete supply from mixers set along the route, plus a pick and carry crane at the culverts. Surfacing follows with a motor grader and compactors.
