The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has put the Mahwa Mandawar Rajgarh stretch of NH-921 out for four laning along with a flyover on NH-21, and the Mahwa Rajgarh tender closes at 5:00 PM on 20 November 2026.
Forty nine kilometres and a flyover at the junction
The work runs from design km 0.850 to design km 50.246 of the Mahwa Mandawar Rajgarh section of NH-921, upgrading it to four lanes with paved shoulders. That is about 49.4 km. The same contract adds a flyover from design km 0.000 to km 1.700 of NH-21, near its junction with NH-921.
It is issued by the Bharatmala Pariyojana and Special Projects Cell of MoRTH under reference RW/NH12014/08/2025RJ/ZONEWEST, on an EPC contract with 730 days. Both parts of the job meet at the same junction, so one site team can run the highway and the structure together.
What the deposit tells you about the bidder MoRTH wants
EMD is ₹4,81,00,000, almost exactly 1 per cent of the ₹481.35 crore estimate, and exemption is not allowed. The tender fee is ₹50,000. Bids open at 5:00 PM on 23 November 2026, three days after they close. A deposit of that size and a two year programme point at established highway contractors with four laning references, usually working with local earthwork and haulage firms on the ground.
Traffic keeps running while the road is widened, so the first season goes on diversions, drains and embankment. Excavators and tippers bring in fill, motor graders and compactors build the layers, and wheel loaders feed the crusher and the hot mix plant. The flyover needs a piling rig, a crane for girders and transit mixers running to a tight pour schedule.
Hire demand along this corridor will be steady for two years, which is long enough to justify buying rather than renting. Our road construction equipment guide sets out what each layer of the pavement needs.
