The work is improving the riding quality of pavement, IRQP, on the Simariya to Tandwa road from km 0.00 to km 26.85 under RCD Division Chatra for the year 2026-27. The reference is RCD/CHATRA/747 and the notice comes from the Chief Engineer (Commercial) office under the Engineer-in-Chief, RCD.

This corridor carries coal and heavy goods traffic through central Jharkhand, which is what wears a pavement out. An IRQP contract is about restoring the surface and profile: patching, profile correction, a new bituminous layer, shoulder repair and drainage, with no realignment.

This is a paving fleet job. The economics turn on a hot mix plant within reasonable lead distance, a paver, tandem and pneumatic tyred rollers and a motor grader for the shoulders and profile. Wheel loaders feed the plant, and backhoe loaders clear side drains and culvert mouths before the overlay goes down. Keep one excavator available for the stretches where the embankment edge has been cut away by water.
