Indo Power 15FNV vs Indo Power 20T: Which Crane Should You Buy?

The simple difference is the load class. The Indo Power 20T lifts more, so it gets called for heavier girders, tanks and machinery that a 15 tonne crane cannot take safely. The Indo Power 15FNV has four wheel drive and a larger fuel tank, so it holds ground better on soft or broken sites and runs longer between fillings, which suits contractors who move around and work full days.

Before you pick on tonnage, read the load chart. A crane lifts its full rated load only close in; as the boom goes out and up, the safe load drops sharply, so a 20 tonne crane at long radius may lift less than you expect. Also count tyres. On a pick and carry crane the tyres carry the load while the machine drives, so a set is a real yearly cost on stony ground.
