What is being built
The work upgrades NH-327 from two lanes with paved shoulders to four lanes with paved shoulders, from Bagdogra near Siliguri out through Panitanki and Kharibari to Galgalia on the Bihar border. The road runs through the narrow strip between Nepal and Bangladesh, so it matters for freight and for the border crossing at Panitanki. For a contractor that means working next to steady truck traffic and planning diversions, not a quiet greenfield site.

North Bengal’s heavy monsoon also means plenty of culverts and minor bridges, which bring in cranes and transit mixers.
