Daudnagar town gets a four-lane bypass taking NH-139 traffic around it: the ₹136.76 crore Daudnagar bypass tender is open on EPC mode and closes at 3:00 PM on 27 November 2026.
8.375 km around the town
MoRTH, through its Patna regional office, wants a four-lane bypass with paved shoulders built from km 93.915 to km 102.290 of NH-139 on the Naubatpur to Hariharganj road in Bihar, reference RO/PAT/EPC/NH-139/2026-27-03. That is 8.375 km of new alignment, EPC mode, with 730 days to complete.
NH-139 is the Patna to Aurangabad district route and runs straight through Daudnagar market today. A greenfield bypass means fresh embankment, cross drainage and at least one set of tie-in junctions at each end.
Deposit, fee and local advantage
The estimate is ₹1,36,76,35,796. The EMD is ₹1,37,00,000 with no exemption allowed, and the tender fee is ₹23,600. Bids open at 11:00 AM on 30 November 2026.
Greenfield bypasses in central Bihar usually come down to who can move earth cheaply and who has a borrow-area tie-up near the alignment. Bidders should also watch the land handover position before committing to the 730-day programme. Two other Bihar road packages are live, the Arwal four-lane bypass and the NH-333A bypasses package.
Earthwork decides the margin here
On a flat alluvial bypass the money is in embankment. Expect excavators loading tippers at the borrow area all through the dry season, motor graders spreading and compactors doing layer after layer to the specified density. Structures and the two junctions bring in a crane and transit mixers, and a backhoe loader stays busy on side drains. Machine owners around Aurangabad, Arwal and Patna are in range for hire.
