Ten kilometres of canal, four kinds of work

The contract runs from RD 40.309 km to RD 50.626 km of the Gompakonda Main Canal, about 10.3 km, and bundles four activities: cement concrete lining, renovation of structures, resectioning, and strengthening of the canal embankment. Lining concrete is low volume but continuous, which suits a small mixer moved along the bank rather than a central plant, and embankment strengthening needs a compactor narrow enough for the bank top. Malkangiri district is remote, so carry spares. A machine waiting on a part during the canal closure is lost work you cannot make up.
