What the Lucknow-Sitapur package covers

The National Highways Authority of India is upgrading the existing four-lane carriageway between km 412.745 and km 479.327 of new NH-30 to six lanes. That is 66.582 km of running corridor through one of the busiest stretches north of Lucknow. The estimate is ₹1,123.24 crore and the reference number is NHAI/2026 /UP West/PIU -Lucknow /Lucknow-Sitapur /Upgradation/RFP, issued through PIU Lucknow under the UP West region.

Because it is a BOT (Toll) concession rather than an EPC award, the winning bidder builds the widening and then recovers cost through user fee over the concession term. Bids were invited on 4 August 2026, submissions close on 18 September 2026 and opening follows on 19 September 2026. Bid validity runs 120 days across a two-cover submission, and withdrawal is allowed.

A BOT (Toll) corridor of this size sits with developer-contractors who can raise project finance and hold a concession, not with a pure item-rate road contractor.
