Rajasthan’s Water Resources Department has invited bids worth ₹802.55 crore for a new dam and pressurised irrigation network under the Manoharthana Major Irrigation Project in Jhalawar district, with bids closing on 2 September 2026.

Dam work eats plant. Expect large tracked excavators on the foundation and cut-off trench, dumpers and tippers moving material from borrow areas, dozers and motor graders shaping the embankment, and vibratory and sheepsfoot rollers on every layer. The distribution network needs a separate, lighter fleet: backhoe loaders for trenching across farmland, small compactors for backfill, and cranes for laying and seating the bigger-diameter pipe. Batching and concreting plant will be on site for the spillway and head-works.
