Two projects, one bid calendar
The Nandurbar Medium Project Division has put out a pair of pipe distribution network packages under one notice series, both to be submitted by 16 September and opened on 18 September. The first covers the existing Left Bank Canal of the Dehali Medium Project at ₹36.82 crore. The second covers the distributaries and minors of the Right Bank Canal for the Dara Medium Project in Shahada taluka at ₹37.43 crore. Both sit under the Superintending Engineer, Dhule Irrigation Project Circle, and both are priced on a percentage basis with two covers and 90-day validity.
Why piped distribution changes the job
These schemes replace open field channels with a buried pipe network, which is a different build from canal lining. The work is trenching, bedding, pipe laying, jointing, thrust blocks, chambers and outlet structures across a command area rather than a single linear alignment. That means many short work fronts, a lot of small-plant movement between them, and heavy dependence on farmer access and crop calendars. Contractors who have done rural water pipeline work will find the method familiar even if the department is new to them. Earnest money on both packages is exactly half a per cent of the estimate, ₹18,41,133 on Dehali and ₹18,71,591 on Dara, and each carries a ₹5,900 online fee.

Trenching is the core activity, so excavators in the 8 to 13 tonne class do most of the work, with a backhoe loader on the narrower field bunds and around structures. Pipe handling needs a small hydraulic crane or a loader with proper slings, depending on the diameter in the BOQ. Compactors settle the bedding and the backfill, which matters here because a badly compacted trench over farmland shows up as settlement in the first season. Tippers move bedding material and spoil, and you will want a water tanker on site through the dry months. Since the fronts are scattered across a command area, a trailer for shifting machines between them earns its cost quickly.
