Two reaches, one short programme
The scope is one time improvement of the existing stretch from km 486.421 to km 523.700 and from km 528.000 to km 530.000, a total of 39.279 km, on EPC mode. PIU Ghazipur is handling it under reference UPDIV-21011 /247/ 2026-PIU Ghazipur/ E-331570.
This is the second improvement package PIU Ghazipur has put out on the same highway. The earlier 36.766 km package at ₹66.69 crore carries the next reference number in the same series and closes two days before this one, so the office is splitting the route into manageable lengths rather than tendering it whole.
180 days is the headline condition

A paving fleet, not an earthwork fleet
Improvement work on an existing carriageway is milling, patching, profile correction and a bituminous overlay, with shoulder and drain repair alongside. You need a hot mix plant within haul distance, a paver and tandem and pneumatic rollers, a motor grader for shoulders and wheel loaders at the plant.
