A 20 MLD common effluent treatment plant for the Dholera Special Investment Region has gone to tender at Rs270.22 crore on EPC terms, with bids closing on 20 August 2026.

Industrial plots need somewhere for their effluent to go before factories can sign up, which is why this package matters to the wider Dholera build-out. Dholera Industrial City Development Ltd is inviting qualification-cum-proposal bids for the design and construction of a common effluent treatment plant of 20 MLD capacity, on EPC basis, inside DSIR.

Scope in plain terms

A CETP collects industrial wastewater from multiple units and treats it to discharge standard at one central facility. Design and construction sit with the contractor here, so the bidder carries process responsibility as well as the build. The physical works run to inlet chambers and screening, equalisation and aeration tanks, clarifiers, sludge handling, a blower and pump house, chemical dosing buildings, internal roads and a considerable amount of buried pipework.

Most of the value on a plant like this is concrete in the ground. Large-volume RCC tankage, watertight construction and deep excavation drive both the programme and the plant requirement.

Who it is for

Water and wastewater EPC firms with treatment-process credentials are the natural bidders, and the qualification stage will test exactly that. For contractors and machine owners across Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar and the Dholera corridor, the opening is in subcontracted civil work: bulk excavation, dewatering, RCC tank construction, pipe laying and backfilling. These packages tend to be let quickly once the main award lands.

What runs on site

Deep tank excavation needs mid to large excavators, with dewatering plant alongside on this coastal ground. Dozers and motor graders level the platform, compactors work the fill and pipe trenches, and tippers move spoil out and granular material in. The concrete programme is the busiest part: a batching plant, transit mixers, concrete pumps and vibrators running through long continuous pours for the tank walls and rafts. Hydraulic cranes cover mechanical items such as screens, blowers and clarifier bridges.
