One office, one bid calendar, three bridges
All three come from the same reference series and the same division, NH Odisha PWD Kesinga, and all three close on 21 September with opening on 25 September. Package 01 covers two new major high-level bridges, Lanth-I at chainage 113/960 km and Lanth-II at 114/446 km on NH-26, at ₹33.96 crore. Package 06 is a new major high-level bridge across the river Ong at km 43.500, also on NH-26, at ₹44.23 crore. Package 08 is the largest at ₹55.57 crore and is a reconstruction job: the major bridge at Takera at chainage 184.200 plus four minor bridges at 189.400, 190.600, 191.400 and 193.200 on NH-57.
How the three differ
They are not interchangeable. Lanth is a paired new build on one short stretch, so you mobilise once and work two structures within half a kilometre of each other. Ong is a single major river crossing, which puts the whole risk into one foundation and one flood season. Takera is reconstruction, and that is a different discipline again: you are demolishing and rebuilding while keeping NH-57 open, so traffic management and staged construction drive the programme rather than the concrete volume. All three are EPC contracts with two covers, 120-day validity and a ₹11,800 offline fee. Earnest money on each is exactly 1 per cent of its own estimate: ₹33,96,000, ₹44,23,000 and ₹55,57,000.
What the plant list looks like
Foundation work leads on all three. Piling rigs and crawler cranes handle the river crossings at Ong and Lanth, with excavators cutting approaches and abutment pits and a rock breaker attachment for the harder reaches of western Odisha. Takera adds demolition: breakers, a long-reach excavator to take the old deck down in controlled sections, and tippers to clear the debris while traffic runs past. Concrete at this combined volume argues for a batching plant rather than bought supply, feeding transit mixers and a boom pump. Compactors rebuild the approach embankments at every one of the seven structures, and a hydraulic crane sets girders. Bidding more than one package means planning how your fleet moves between sites that are not close together.
