A new alignment east of Agra
NHAI wants a 4/6-lane greenfield bypass that takes NH-19 traffic around Etmadpur in Agra district and Tundla in Firozabad district, from design Km 0.000 to Km 16.200. Being greenfield, the job starts on open land rather than an existing carriageway, which usually means large embankments, new structures at every road and rail crossing, and fewer traffic diversions to manage.
The notice describes it as an EPC mode project handled through PIU Agra, reference UPDIV 20014/111/2026 PIU Agra (E325382). The portal lists the form of contract as item rate and gives 910 days for completion.
