Three scales of quarters in one package

MES has put the provision of deficient married accommodation at Jaipur Military Station into a single contract covering three scales: 50 officers, 24 JCOs and 84 Hav/ORs. That is 158 families in all. The Chief Engineer, South Western Command and Chief Engineer Jaipur is the inviting authority, working through GE(P) Jaipur, reference 80916/E8.

Bundling scales this way is normal for a deficiency contract, and it shapes how you plan. Officer quarters, JCO quarters and other ranks quarters are different type designs with different finishes, so you are building several standard blocks rather than repeating one. Formwork sets have to cover every type, which is where a bidder who has done MES housing before saves money.

730 days, and a short fuse on this one

The estimate is ₹74,25,00,000 on a lump sum contract with 730 days. Earnest money is the flat ₹15,00,000 MES figure with exemption allowed, and the fee is ₹3,000. Bids open at 11:00 AM on 12 November.

The notice went up on 23 September and closes on 10 November, so if you are reading this on the day there is very little time to assemble a lump sum price. Rajasthan has longer runways open elsewhere, including the Banswara township quarters and public buildings at Phase 1 and the Rajmahal Palace underpass in Jaipur.

Working inside a cantonment

A cantonment site is a constrained urban build. Access is gated and timed, material deliveries need passes, and the working area is usually tight against existing occupied quarters. That argues for compact plant: a backhoe loader for foundations, trenches and general site duty, and a pick and carry crane rather than anything that needs assembly room.

Concrete for 158 units over two years is best taken from transit mixers off a nearby batching plant, since a site plant inside a cantonment means a dust and noise problem next to housing. Excavators earn their keep in the first few months and then mostly on services. Jaipur also has a storm drain contract on Benad Road open if you want work for the digging fleet.
