MEIL has no public portal for megha engineering vendor registration as of 8 November 2026, so a machine owner or local contractor gets on its supplier list through the procurement team at an MEIL project office. The company’s website publishes one supplier document, a Supplier Code of Conduct effective 1 April 2024, with a declaration you sign and seal. It publishes no fee and no approval time. The work is large: Acuite Ratings put MEIL’s order book at Rs 2,56,830.73 crore on 31 October 2025, about 32 percent irrigation and 21 percent roads, spread over 24 states.

That order book was 6.14 times MEIL’s revenue for 2024-25, according to the same Acuite rating note of 29 January 2026. Put simply, Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd has about six years of work in hand at its current pace. Most of it is irrigation and road work, which needs machines and local crews hired close to the site.

L&T, Afcons and Tata Projects all run online vendor portals, as L&T vendor registration, Afcons vendor registration and Tata Projects vendor registration show. MEIL does not, which changes how you approach it.

Is there a megha engineering vendor registration portal?

No public one. We checked meil.in on 8 November 2026. Its sitemap lists 405 pages, and none of them is a vendor, supplier, procurement or tender page. Typing the usual addresses, such as meil.in/vendor-registration or meil.in/procurement, returns a “page not found” error.

The footer of every page carries an “E-bills portal” link to ebills.meilgroup.in. The login page calls it a portal “for employees and partners”, but its new-user page says “Register with your Employee Code” and asks you to contact the HR department if details do not match. A new supplier cannot create an account there.

One more trap. A Karnataka state company, Mysore Electrical Industries Ltd, also goes by MEIL, and its tenders for electrical items show up when you search “meil vendor registration online”. Those have nothing to do with Megha Engineering. Check the full company name before you upload anything or pay any agent.

What the MEIL Supplier Code of Conduct asks of you

The MEIL Supplier Code of Conduct is a nine-page scanned document, first released on 25 February 2024. It defines a supplier as any company, contractor, service provider or individual that provides or seeks to provide goods or services to MEIL. A hire firm sending two excavators with operators fits. So does a local contractor taking a trenching package. The code covers MEIL’s group companies and joint ventures, down to each project site.

The code states that following it is a mandatory condition for starting and continuing business with MEIL. A few clauses matter more to a small firm than the rest.

  • No cash or lavish entertainment for MEIL staff. Anyone pressing you for such things should be reported to the Procurement Head, through the channel the code names.
  • You must follow labour laws on wages and social security, and give your crew safety equipment and training.
  • Workers must not be made to lodge deposits or identity documents as a condition of work. Do not hold an operator’s licence or Aadhaar card to stop them leaving.
  • The same rules flow down. If you sub-hire a tipper or a labour gang, you answer for how they behave on MEIL work.
  • MEIL can audit your records and premises on reasonable notice, and recover what it costs to investigate a breach.

A breach can lead to suspension, termination or being shut out of future work. The last page is the Supplier Declaration. Sign and stamp it, and carry a copy to the site office.

Papers to keep ready for meil supplier registration

MEIL publishes no document checklist. Its code says only that suppliers must keep records and show supporting documents when asked. So prepare the set any large contractor’s site office checks before it raises a hire order:

  • GST certificate, PAN and a cancelled cheque in the firm’s name
  • Udyam registration certificate, if you are a micro or small enterprise
  • PF and ESI codes, if your operators and helpers are on your payroll
  • For each machine: registration, insurance, and fitness papers where the machine is road-registered
  • Operator licences and a short list of past jobs with client contacts
  • The signed Supplier Declaration

Get the Udyam certificate before you supply, not after. The MSMED Act’s payment protection applies to dues owed to a registered micro or small supplier, and recovering a delayed payment as a contractor explains how that claim works.

Where MEIL’s live projects are in November 2026

The order book split comes from Acuite’s rating note. The locations come from MEIL’s own business-unit pages, read on 8 November 2026.

Segment Share of order book (31 Oct 2025) Work under way, per meil.in
Irrigation 32.02% Polavaram earth-cum-rock-fill dam, Andhra Pradesh
Roads 20.92% 34-plus ongoing segments: Bengaluru-Vijayawada corridor (7 segments), Surat-Chennai stretch in Telangana, Tejaji Nagar-Balwara (Madhya Pradesh), NH-66 in Kerala, Amas-Darbhanga (Bihar), Balsua-Hiranagar (Jammu and Kashmir)
Power 13.49% 17 new extra-high-voltage substations in Madhya Pradesh; Kaiga Units 5 and 6 (Karnataka); solar at about 600 locations
Hydrocarbons 11.50% Process units at the Rajasthan refinery; strategic oil storage at Padur, Karnataka
Drinking water 11.13% 61 projects in 9 states; more than 2,000 overhead tanks under construction
Others 10.96% Buildings and other works

About 80 percent of MEIL’s contracts are for government clients, Acuite notes, and 95.93 percent of the order book is in India. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are home ground, but the road and water lists show sites from Kerala to Jammu.

Which MEIL work suits a small machine owner?

MEIL makes a lot of its own material. It runs a spiral pipe plant for its projects, and its water unit makes its own valves and pipes. Material supply is therefore a hard door for an outsider. Machine hire and local labour are easier, because they are needed in every district a pipeline or highway passes through.

Earthwork and compaction come first. On an expert panel’s recent visit to the Polavaram dam, MEIL’s own report says the panel checked compacted soil in test pits and watched a sheep-foot roller at work. Dam and canal packages use rollers and tipper fleets for months at a stretch.

Pipeline trenching is the steadiest fit for a hire firm. A water scheme of 61 projects means hundreds of kilometres of trenching and backfill, plus foundations for overhead tanks in villages. A 20-tonne machine such as the Tata Hitachi EX 200 Infra handles main lines, while the 14.3-tonne JCB NXT 140 suits narrower village streets. Compare more excavator models and specifications before you buy for a contract.

Road packages hire tippers for haulage and rollers for each layer, often through a petty contractor who already holds an MEIL work order. Taking a sub-hire from such a firm is a fair way to build a record with the site team. Solar and substation sites need smaller jobs: site levelling and foundation pits, sometimes short-term crane hire.

Plan your cash before you commit. Acuite reported MEIL’s gross current asset days at 350 on 31 March 2025, a figure that includes advances to suppliers and subcontractors. That says nothing certain about your bill, but a hire firm paying a monthly EMI should agree billing cycles in writing.

Checklist before you approach an MEIL site

  • Confirm the company is Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Ltd, not another MEIL.
  • Find the nearest live site from the table above and visit its project office in person.
  • Carry the signed Supplier Declaration, GST, PAN, Udyam and machine papers.
  • Ask which package needs machines now, and who signs the hire order.
  • Agree the hire rate and billing cycle in writing, including who pays for diesel.
  • Refuse any request for cash and report it to MEIL’s Procurement Head, as the code directs.
  • Watch live tenders and work opportunities for packages that MEIL and its subcontractors tie into.

Order book figures, project lists and supplier rules change — confirm current terms with MEIL’s procurement team or project office, and with your bank, before you commit a machine.
