₹124.40 crore will build the Ahmedabad Dholera expressway interchange where the expressway meets Sardar Patel Ring Road, and NHAI takes bids until 11:00 AM on 21 November 2026.
The missing junction at the Ahmedabad end
The tender covers development of an interchange at the starting point of the Ahmedabad Dholera Expressway, at its meeting point with Sardar Patel Ring Road (SPRR) in Ahmedabad. NHAI headquarters has issued it under reference NHAI/ Ahmedabad-Dholera /NE-8/E- 291109. An interchange lets traffic move between the ring road and the expressway without stopping, which takes loops, ramps and at least one flyover-type structure.
The notice calls the job EPC mode. On the portal the form of contract reads item rate, and the period of work is 548 days.
Deposit and competition
EMD is ₹1,24,00,000, close to 1 per cent of the estimate, with no exemption, and the fee is ₹20,000. Bids open at 11:30 AM on 23 November. Gujarat has a deep pool of structure contractors, so expect a crowded field and tight pricing.
Interchange ramps are high embankments held by reinforced earth walls, so fill haulage comes first: excavators at the borrow area and compactors working layer by layer. The structures need piling rigs, a crane for girders and a batching plant with transit mixers. A motor grader and paver finish the ramps. Ring road traffic cannot be stopped for long, so girder launching will happen at night.
