Atal Bus Stand Tender: Two A-Type Stands at Patrapalli and Panikoili (Rs 71.43 Cr)

Odisha is building two A-Type Atal Bus Stands, one at Patrapalli in Sundergarh and one at Panikoili in Jajpur, worth ₹71.43 crore together, and both parts of the Atal bus stand tender close at 5:00 PM on 31 October 2026.

Two districts, one notice, two contracts

Orissa State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation is handling both packages under the same reference, 15/OPHWC/2026-27. The first is construction of an A-Type Atal Bus Stand at Patrapalli under Sundergarh Sadar Block in Sundergarh at ₹39,87,17,896. The second is the same standard design at Panikoili under Korei Block in Jajpur at ₹31,55,93,450. Both are percentage rate contracts with 730 days.

An A-Type stand is the largest in the state standard, with bus bays, a terminal building, passenger amenities and commercial space. Because both use the same drawings, a contractor bidding for both can order materials and formwork once and run the two sites off one design team.

Deposits in reach of a district contractor

EMD is ₹39,87,200 for the Sundergarh package and ₹31,55,900 for Jajpur, both at roughly 1 per cent with exemption allowed. The fee is ₹11,800 for each. Both were published on 7 October 2026 and both open at 10:30 AM on 2 November 2026.

Odisha has a steady run of building work for this bidder pool, including the ROTI annex building and auditorium at Bhubaneswar and the balance work on 91 port staff quarters at Nuabazar.

Ground works first, finishes for a year

A bus stand is a low-rise building plus a large area of heavy-duty paving, and the paving is where the equipment money sits. Bus bays take either thick concrete or block paving on a strong base, so excavators and tippers build the subgrade, a motor grader trims it and compactors bring it to density.

The terminal building itself runs on mixers and a small crane, and backhoe loaders handle drains, cable trenches and the water and sewer connections. Two years with a year of finishing work means the heavy plant is busy early and then released, which suits owners who want a predictable six to eight month deployment close to Rourkela or Jajpur.
