Balodabazar Parmalkasa Railway Line Tender, Chhattisgarh (Rs 3,966 Cr)

South East Central Railway has tendered a 170 km new broad-gauge double line from Balodabazar to Parmalkasa in Chhattisgarh, worth Rs 3,966.20 crore and open for bids until 30 October 2026.

The Balodabazar Parmalkasa railway line runs from km 110.500 at Balodabazar to km 280.840 at Parmalkasa, with Y-connectivities from Lakholi station and Marauda Y Cabin. It forms part of the Kharsia to Naya Raipur to Parmalkasa 5th and 6th line project, tendered by the CAO/C/HQ Engineering office at Bilaspur. Work in the package

The contract names earthwork, bridges, a rail over rail bridge, road over bridges and road under bridges, station buildings, track works, electrification and signalling and telecommunication works. That is a full corridor build rather than a line item. Roughly 170 route km of formation, plus the structures at every crossing, is where the bulk of the machine hours will go.
