Two stretches of the eight-lane Delhi to Vadodara expressway in Rajasthan need repair work worth ₹55.42 crore, and NHAI’s Delhi Vadodara Expressway rectification tender for Packages 13 and 14 closes at 11:00 AM on 15 October 2026.
Repairs at someone else’s cost
NHAI is getting rectification work done on Package 13 and Package 14 of the greenfield alignment (NH-148N) at the risk and cost of the contractor who built them. In plain terms, the authority hires a new firm to fix the defects and recovers the bill from the original one. Both are second calls, so the first round did not produce an award.
Package 13 is estimated at ₹25.92 crore and Package 14 at ₹29.51 crore. Each is a separate item rate tender from the Regional Office at Jaipur, with PIU Kota in charge, and each gives 180 days.
Deposits and the pre-bid
EMD is ₹51,83,253 for Package 13 and ₹59,01,656 for Package 14, which is 2 per cent, with no exemption. The fee is ₹10,000 each. A pre-bid meeting is set for 3:00 PM on 9 October at the Jaipur regional office. Bids open at 11:30 AM on 16 October.
Rectification on an expressway is milling, relaying and patching under lane closures. You need a cold milling machine, a paver, tandem and pneumatic rollers, and a hot-mix plant close to the corridor. Motor graders and excavators come in where embankment or drainage repairs are part of the list. Six months is short, so a contractor with plant already near Kota has the edge. Paver and roller owners can expect hire enquiries.
