The stretch
The contract runs from the Pachpadara Bypass at chainage 95.780 to the Patau Interchange at chainage 115.003 on NH-25, a little over nineteen kilometres. Pachpadara is the refinery town in Barmer district, and the traffic mix on this corridor is heavy on tankers, construction material and long-haul freight rather than cars. Four-laning here is about carrying that load rather than about journey time.
A note on where the work actually is
The tender record lists the bid receipt address at NHAI head office in Delhi, which is where the bid is opened, not where the road is. The work itself is entirely in Rajasthan. If you are filtering opportunities by state, that distinction matters.
Who should be bidding
EPC mode means a single contractor takes design and construction together against a fixed price, which is a different animal from the annuity and concession packages NHAI also floats. It is a works contract you can price off a bill of quantities and your own plant rates. Earnest money is Rs 2,03,00,000, almost exactly 1 per cent of the estimate, and the tender fee is Rs 30,000. Expect excavators and dozers on the formation, a motor grader and soil compactors behind them, a large tipper fleet, a crusher and a hotmix plant within reasonable lead, and a sensor paver with tandem and pneumatic rollers on the surfacing train. Structures along the length bring in transit mixers and a crane. Water availability in Barmer district is a real programme risk for compaction, so factor tanker logistics into the rate rather than treating it as an afterthought.
