Rajasthan’s Water Resources Department has put ₹800.07 crore out to tender for an artificial reservoir at Dhanoti in Churu district, with bids closing on 26 August 2026.

What the Churu package covers

The Dhanoti reservoir tender is a phase-I package for Dhanoti Reservoir-A, one unit of the Hansiyawas Reservoir Complex in Churu district. It is not a construction-only contract. The notice puts survey, design, construction and the operation and maintenance of the completed reservoir system in one scope, all of it under the Yamuna water project. Whoever wins carries the job from levels and drawings through to running the asset.

The O&M tail matters as much as the civil bill: bidders need to price years of running the reservoir system, not just handing it over. Motor graders trim the formation and the embankment layers, and heavy compactors bring each layer up to specification density. Water tankers are a real line item in this belt, not an afterthought.

Beyond the earth, the inlet and outlet structures, spillway and any lining work bring in concrete plant and mixers. Cranes handle gate erection and the larger pipe sections. If the Churu subsoil throws up hardpan or rock, budget for breakers and drilling capacity as well. The O&M years then need a much smaller standing fleet for desilting and bund upkeep.
