Haldwani Water Supply Tender: Haldwani-Kathgodam, Bhimtal and Bhowali Schemes under UeWSP (Rs 342.04 Cr)

Uttarakhand Peyjal Nigam has three World Bank funded water supply contracts worth ₹342.04 crore out in Nainital district, for Haldwani-Kathgodam, Bhimtal and Bhowali, and all three close at 5:00 PM on 30 October 2026.

Three towns, one circle office

All three come from the Construction Circle at Nainital, under the Kumaon zone of the Peyjal Nigam, as part of the Uttarakhand efficient Water Supply Programme (UeWSP). The largest is the distribution network and metering job for the Haldwani Kathgodam scheme at ₹1,48,72,45,913. Bhimtal town follows at ₹1,02,40,97,000 and Bhowali at ₹90,90,20,000.

Each is an item rate contract with the period of work listed as 3,180 days on the portal. That is far longer than a pipe-laying build on its own, so read the bid document for how the construction years and any operation years are split before you price it.

Deposits, fees and dates

EMD is ₹1,73,72,000 for Haldwani-Kathgodam, ₹1,27,41,000 for Bhimtal and ₹1,15,90,000 for Bhowali, between 1.1 and 1.3 per cent of each estimate, with no exemption. The fee is ₹5,900 for each. There is one pre-bid meeting in Dehradun at 4:00 PM on 12 October, and the bids open at Haldwani at 1:00 PM on 2 November 2026.

The state has other urban water work open, such as the Rudrapur Kashipur water supply tender in Udham Singh Nagar. Road jobs in the hills include the NH-507 widening tender.

Machines for a hill-town pipe network

Distribution work in Haldwani means trenching through busy streets, while Bhimtal and Bhowali add slopes and narrow lanes. Compact excavators and backhoe loaders do most of the trenching, small compactors close the trench, and concrete mixers serve tanks, valve chambers and road restoration. A crane helps place large pipes and pumps. Contractors and fleet owners around Haldwani and Kathgodam have the shortest haul to all three sites.

4. Download the NIT, bid document and BOQ for each scheme, then check eligibility, the EMD and the ₹5,900 fee. The pre-bid meeting is in Dehradun at 4:00 PM on 12 October 2026.
5. Submit your bid online before 30 October 2026, 5:00 PM.
