Three turnkey irrigation packages worth ₹152.99 crore are open across Mayurbhanj district, and the first two parts of the Mayurbhanj irrigation tender close at 5:00 PM on 26 October 2026.
One office, three packages, two kinds of work
All three come from the Chief Engineer, Basin Manager, Baitarani Budhabalanga Subarnarekha Basin at Laxmiposi, under consecutive NIT numbers. NIT 12/26-27 is construction of the Kansapal in stream storage structure across the river Katra near Kansapal village in Bangiriposi block, worth ₹54,56,31,717 over 730 days.
NIT 13/26-27 is underground pipeline irrigation by gravity flow with a micro irrigation system in the command area of JLMC and its system from RD 45.630 km to RD 82.64 km of the Subarnarekha Irrigation Project, worth ₹62,86,20,649 over 730 days. NIT 15/26-27 covers the same kind of work for the Damodarpur distributary offtaking from BBC at RD 62691 m, worth ₹35,56,62,658 over 548 days. All three are EPC turnkey including five years of operation and maintenance.
Deposits, fees and why the O and M matters
EMD is ₹54,56,400, ₹62,86,300 and ₹35,56,700, each 1 per cent of its package, and exemption is allowed on all three. The fee is ₹10,000 per package. Kansapal and the JLMC pipeline close at 5:00 PM on 26 October, the Damodarpur package at 5:00 PM on 27 October.
Five years of operation and maintenance on a piped irrigation network is a real obligation. You carry pump energy, filter cleaning and leak repair across a command area full of farmers who will call you the day pressure drops. Price the running years, not just the laying. Elsewhere in Odisha the Samasingha storage structure tender and the Nuagaon barrage distribution tender cover similar ground.
A trenching fleet plus one river job
The two pipeline packages are long, linear trenching jobs across farmland. That means excavators and backhoe loaders working in parallel gangs, bedding and backfill behind them, and a compactor on the reinstatement so the fields go back into use. Valve chambers and the pump house need mixers and a pick and carry crane. Kansapal is a different animal: a concrete structure in a river bed with a dry season window and coffer dams. A contractor taking all three gets a useful balance, because the trenching can continue through months when river work has to stop.
