One scheme, three packages
All three works sit under notice DMC/Drainage/03/2026-27, and they are parts of the same treated-sewage disposal chain rather than three unrelated jobs. Work No. 25, at ₹192.51 crore, is the integrated MS gravity main disposal pipeline carrying treated sewage from the TP-84 STP at final plots 332 and 327 to the treated water pumping station at final plot 105 in TP-37, Variyav. Work No. 24, at ₹137.55 crore, is the 2235 mm outer diameter, 17.5 mm thick MS rising pipeline running from that proposed pumping station on to Tena Khadi. Work No. 21, at ₹129.94 crore, is a 100 MLD sewerage treatment plant on open technology at Valak in New East Zone-B, Sarthana, supplied, installed, tested and commissioned with up to ten years of operation and maintenance.
Who should bid
These are pipeline and plant contracts, so the bidder profile splits. Works 24 and 25 suit large-diameter MS pipeline specialists who can handle fabrication, lowering, welding and testing on a 2235 mm main through built-up Surat. Work 21 suits a process contractor who can design and run an STP for a decade. A contractor with both capabilities can take the whole chain, which is where the real advantage sits, because interface risk between the plant, the rising main and the disposal line is what usually delays schemes like this. Plant and equipment
Laying a 2235 mm main means deep, wide trench: large hydraulic excavators, trench shoring, well-point or deep-well dewatering, and tippers running spoil out of a dense city. Pipe handling at that diameter needs hydraulic cranes of real capacity plus welding rigs, internal alignment clamps and hydro-testing gear. Reinstatement brings back plate compactors, tandem rollers and a batching plant for thrust blocks, chambers and road restoration. The STP at Valak adds piling rigs if the ground calls for them, tower cranes or crawler cranes for tank and blower-house erection, transit mixers and concrete pumps, and the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation fit-out that follows the civil work.
