161 kilometres of new six-lane, in two contracts
Package I runs from Girmapur village at design chainage 1.518 to Pragnapur at chainage 82.000, a design length of 83.518 km, estimated at ₹4,135.60 crore. Package II carries on from Pragnapur at chainage 82.000 to Tangad Palle village at chainage 160.000, another 78.000 km, at ₹3,727.32 crore.
Both are six-lane access-controlled greenfield expressway on hybrid annuity mode under the national highways original scheme, and both sit under one reference series, TGDIV-20014/63/2024-Telangana Division. This is the northern arc of the regional expressway ring being built well outside the existing Outer Ring Road, and taken together the two packages form one of the largest single road procurements in Telangana.
What the numbers tell a bidder
Earnest money is ₹41,36,00,000 on Package I and ₹37,27,00,000 on Package II. Both land on one per cent of their estimates to the rupee, so the values are sound. Tender fees are ₹4,20,000 and ₹3,80,000, with 120-day bid validity on each.
Both were published on 20 May 2026, and both have been amended hard. Package I carries 27 corrigenda and Package II carries 21, nearly all of them tender-document replacements loaded on 21 May 2026 in numbered parts. Any bidder needs the complete current set before pricing, and on a package of this size that document assembly is itself a job.
Greenfield expressway on hybrid annuity at ₹4,000 crore is national contractor territory. The bidder pool NHAI has drawn here includes the usual highway majors alongside Rail Vikas Nigam and KNR, which is what an eighty-kilometre greenfield stretch attracts.
The scale of plant this puts to work
A hundred and sixty kilometres of new alignment across open Telangana country is bulk earthmoving before it is anything else. Large excavators, dozers and long tipper fleets move cut to fill in continuous chains, with motor graders trimming and heavy compactors sealing every layer behind them.
Access control means every crossing becomes a structure. Vehicular underpasses, overpasses and interchanges along both packages bring cranes, piling rigs and concrete mixers fed by batching plants spaced along the route, while wheel loaders and crushers hold the aggregate supply together.
