Delhi PWD is replacing old brick drains with precast and RCC box drains on two south west Delhi roads, and both halves of this Delhi precast drain tender pair close at 3:00 PM on 10 November 2026.
Old DG Road and Goyla Dairy Road
The first contract, ₹35,16,19,117, covers construction of precast and RCC box type drain in place of the old brick drain from Samalka Crossing to Kapashera Border on Old DG Road, road ID 1169, under sub division 24. The second, ₹31,15,30,274, covers an RCC precast drain, toe wall and footpath on Goyla Dairy Road, road ID 1168, under sub division 25.
Both sit in division SWR-II under the Chief Engineer South, both are revised notices, and both allow 210 days. Together they come to ₹66.31 crore of drainage work in one pocket of the city, which is why they are worth reading as a pair even though they are separate contracts.
Brick to precast is a method change, not just a replacement
A brick drain is built in place, slowly, by masons. A precast box drain arrives on a truck in units and is set in a prepared trench, which is faster but front-loads the work: casting yard or supplier capacity, delivery scheduling and lifting have to be organised before the first unit lands. The toe wall and footpath on the Goyla Dairy Road job add a second trade behind the drainage gang.
This is a lifting and trenching job. Backhoe loaders and small excavators open and trim the trench, a pick-and-carry crane sets the precast units, and transit mixers pour the bedding, haunching and the cast in place sections where the box has to turn or change size. Backfill behind the drain needs plate compactors and a small roller, because that is where the carriageway later settles if the work was rushed. Spoil disposal in Delhi is a permit question as much as a haulage one.

What are the two jobs in this Delhi precast drain tender pair?
Precast and RCC box type drain in place of the old brick drain from Samalka Crossing to Kapashera Border on Old DG Road, and an RCC precast drain with toe wall and footpath on Goyla Dairy Road, both in division SWR-II of Delhi PWD.
What are the values and EMDs?
₹35,16,19,117 with an EMD of ₹45,16,191 for Old DG Road, and ₹31,15,30,274 with an EMD of ₹41,15,303 for Goyla Dairy Road. The tender fee is nil for both.
Why does precast change the planning?
Precast units are cast off site and delivered, so supplier capacity, delivery sequence and lifting access decide the programme, where a brick drain would have been limited by masonry labour on site.
When do bids close?
3:00 PM on 10 November 2026 for both contracts, with opening at 3:30 PM the same day. Each allows 210 days.
