MMRDA has put three civil packages on the Thane Bhiwandi Kalyan metro corridor out together, and all three parts of the Metro Line 5 tender close at 3:00 PM on 30 November 2026.
What each package carries
CA-317, tender ID 2026_MMRDA_1348568_1, is design and construction of metro viaduct, cut and cover, open ramp and tunnel with one underground and one elevated station from Dhamankar Naka to Rajnouli Junction, Ch. 12.200 to 17.860. CA-318, tender ID 2026_MMRDA_1348585_1, is elevated viaduct and viaduct integrated with a road flyover, a creek bridge, connecting road ramps and seven elevated stations from Rajnouli Junction to Bhoirwadi, Ch. 17.860 to 26.140. CA-314, tender ID 2026_MMRDA_1348591_1, covers part elevated viaduct with one elevated station from Ch. 3.596 to 6.521 and elevated viaduct with an integrated road flyover and three double decker elevated stations from Ch. 0.383 to 5.272 on Line 5A.
All three exclude architectural finishing and pre-engineered steel work, so the scope is the structure. The references run MMRDA/MMRP/ML05(II)/CA-317, MMRDA/MMRP/ML5(II III)/CA-318 and MMRDA/MMRP/ML5A/CA-314, and the Metro PIU is the inviting office. Read the chainages together and CA-317 and CA-318 are continuous: one ends exactly where the next begins.
The portal does not publish a value, and the deposits are flat
None of the three detail pages shows a tender value. The EMDs are ₹90,00,000 for CA-317, ₹72,00,000 for CA-318 and ₹67,00,000 for CA-314, each with a ₹11,800 fee and no exemption, on lump-sum contracts. Those deposits look like fixed amounts rather than a percentage of cost, so the usual 2 per cent arithmetic would put the packages at roughly ₹45 crore, ₹36 crore and ₹33.5 crore, and for work including a bored tunnel, a creek bridge and 13 stations that is clearly far below the real cost. Treat the EMD as a deposit, not a clue, and get the estimate from the bid document.
Bids open at 3:00 PM on 2 December. Work of this kind goes to large contractors with tunnelling and segmental launching capability. Delhi has a comparable package live in DMRC’s Line 10 twin shield tunnel tender, and in Mumbai itself the Dadar Dharavi nalla wall tender is open.
Heavy plant, and a long sub-contract chain
A metro package on this scale is a plant business. Piling rigs work the full alignment, launching gantries place segments, and tower and crawler cranes handle pier caps, girders and station steel. The underground station and cut and cover reach bring in diaphragm wall rigs and large excavators working inside a shored box. A segment casting yard needs its own wheel loader and a steady transit mixer fleet. For owners of smaller machines the opportunity is the sub-contract layer: backhoe loaders on utility diversion and barricading, and compactors on the road reinstatement that follows every metro job through a city.
Search by tender ID 2026_MMRDA_1348568_1, 2026_MMRDA_1348585_1 or 2026_MMRDA_1348591_1 under Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority.
Register on the portal and keep a valid Class III digital signature certificate ready.
Download each package document, since the portal publishes no value or completion period, then check eligibility, the package EMD and the ₹11,800 fee for each one you bid.
Submit your bid online before 30 November 2026, 03:00 PM.
What do the three Metro Line 5 tender packages cover?
CA-317 takes viaduct, cut and cover, open ramp and tunnel with an underground and an elevated station from Dhamankar Naka to Rajnouli Junction. CA-318 takes elevated viaduct with a road flyover, a creek bridge, ramps and seven elevated stations on to Bhoirwadi. CA-314 covers elevated viaduct and four stations on Line 5A, including three double decker stations.
What is the value of each package?
MMRDA has not published a value for any of them. The EMDs appear to be flat deposits rather than a percentage, so they are not a safe basis for an estimate.
Is architectural finishing included?
No. All three packages exclude architectural finishing and pre-engineered steel work.
When do bids close?
All three close at 3:00 PM on 30 November 2026 and open at 3:00 PM on 2 December 2026.
