BIDA Water Supply Tender: A 30 MLD System for the Jhansi Activation Area (Rs 68.04 Cr)

The new industrial city coming up at Jhansi needs water before it needs anything else, and the ₹68.04 crore BIDA water supply tender closes at 5:00 PM on 20 November 2026.

Water for an activation area

Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam, through the Chief Engineer Kanpur and the 14th Circle, has tendered a 30 MLD water supply system in the phase 1 activation area of the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority, built for BIDA Master Plan 2045 in Jhansi district under the deposit programme. Reference is 1519/F-03/234 DATED 27.10.2026, the published value is ₹68,04,29,990 and the form is percentage rate.

An activation area is the first serviced parcel of a new industrial city, the part that has to be ready before plots can be allotted. Thirty million litres a day is sized for industry rather than housing, so expect large diameter mains, pumping and storage rather than a dense distribution network.

Terms, and the wider BIDA build

EMD is ₹68,04,000, exactly 1 per cent, and exemption is allowed. The fee is ₹23,600. Bids open at 5:30 PM on 20 November, the same evening as closing, which is unusually quick. The portal does not state a period of work, so the document is the only place to find the programme.

Pipe laying on open ground, which is the easy part

Greenfield work is kinder to a fleet than city work. Excavators can run long trench lengths without utility interference, tippers handle the bedding and backfill, and a crane or a pipe layer drops large diameter sections in. Pump houses, sumps and overhead tanks need transit mixers and a backhoe loader for the detailed excavation. Compaction over a pipeline has to be done in careful lifts with a small compactor before anything heavy runs over it. Bundelkhand ground is hard and stony in places, so budget for rock excavation rates.
