The western half of the Gonda bypass is going out as a 20.57 km four-lane package on hybrid annuity mode, and the Gonda bypass tender closes at 11:00 AM on 30 October 2026.
Taking NH-330B traffic around the town
MoRTH wants the western part of the Gonda bypass on NH-330B built to a four-lane with paved shoulder configuration over a design length of 20.570 km in Uttar Pradesh. The Regional Office at Lucknow is inviting bids under reference CE-RO/LKO/NH-330B (Gonda Bypass)/2025-26 Dated.16.06.2026, and the portal records the form of contract as PPP-BoT-HAM.
Gonda sits on the route between Lucknow, Balrampur and the Nepal border, and through traffic currently runs into the town. A bypass on the western side takes the trucks out and leaves the existing road for local use.
The portal leaves the value blank
The tender value field on the portal reads NA, and so does the period of work. What is published is the deposit: EMD of ₹8,76,00,000 with no exemption, and a tender fee of ₹90,000. At the usual 2 per cent that deposit points to a project cost of roughly ₹438 crore, but treat that as a guide and take the real figure from the RFP.
A new alignment across farmland means the whole road is embankment, so the earthwork volume decides the price. Excavators load borrow at the pits, tippers run the lead, and compactors build the fill in controlled lifts. A motor grader trims each layer before the pavement goes on.
The Terai has a high water table and a long monsoon, so the embankment has to be up and protected before the rains or the first season is wasted. Culverts and the structures where the bypass crosses local drains need transit mixers and a crane. Owners around Gonda, Basti and Ayodhya are close enough to work this on monthly hire.
