Gurugram Metro Rail Limited has put the Sector 9 to Cyber City stretch of its new corridor out to bid at ₹1,662.53 crore, and the Gurugram Metro viaduct tender closes at 3:30 PM on 18 November 2026.
The last leg of the Millennium City Centre line
The package covers the viaduct and elevated stations from Sector 9 metro station (not included) to Cyber City metro station (included), on the corridor that runs between Millennium City Centre and Cyber City. GMRL, a Haryana government company, issued it under reference GMRL/PROJ/2026/AC-03 through its General Manager (Contracts).
This end of the route runs into the busiest part of the city, around the old Gurugram and the NH-48 belt into Cyber City, so traffic diversions and night work will shape the programme as much as the engineering.
Deposit, period and who can bid
EMD is ₹16,62,53,000, exactly 1 per cent of the ₹16,62,52,82,097 estimate, and the portal allows EMD exemption for eligible bidders. The tender fee is ₹23,600. GMRL gives 900 days, about two and a half years, and bids open at 4:00 PM on the closing day.
At this size the field is metro-experienced EPC firms and joint ventures. Contractors who have built Delhi Metro viaducts will recognise the job; DMRC has its own Rithala Kundli viaduct tender and a Phase-IV viaduct package open at the same time.
What builds an elevated metro
Piles and pile caps come first, which means hydraulic piling rigs, excavators for the pits and a steady run of transit mixers from batching plants near the alignment. Pier caps and segments need casting yard gantries, and launching girders or heavy crawler and truck cranes place the spans. Station roofs and concourses bring more crane hours. Fleet owners in Gurugram, Manesar and Faridabad can expect sub-contract enquiries for hire.
