Rithala Kundli Metro Tender: 11.3 km Viaduct and Ten Stations

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has opened the Rithala Kundli metro tender, a ₹695.20 crore package for 11.3 km of elevated viaduct and ten stations on Phase-IV, closing 12 October 2026.

Eleven kilometres from chainage zero

The scope runs from chainage 0 metre to 11299.093 metre of the Rithala to Kundli corridor, which is the northern extension of Delhi Metro Phase-IV. Within that stretch the contractor part designs and builds the elevated viaduct, the integrated depot despatch structure including its ramp, and ten elevated stations. This is the first of the corridor’s construction packages to reach the market, and it is tendered under the JICA funded stream, so the procurement conditions follow that lending framework rather than DMRC’s ordinary domestic template.

Something worth reading carefully: the header on the bid notice bands the value at ₹500 crore and above, while the tender’s own summary states ₹695.20 crore. The earnest money deposit of ₹13,90,40,000 settles it, because that is exactly 2 per cent of ₹695.20 crore to the rupee. Two independent figures agreeing that precisely is not a coincidence, so treat ₹695.20 crore as the working estimate and confirm it against the priced bill of quantities in the document set.

The bidder this suits

Ten elevated stations and 11.3 km of viaduct is a two to three year programme for a contractor with metro or elevated corridor experience. Bid validity is 120 days, shorter than the 180 days DMRC often runs, and withdrawal is permitted, which is unusual and gives a bidder some room. The tender fee is a modest ₹23,600 and payment mode is offline. Bids are opened at Metro Bhawan.

The timeline has a long gap built into it. The notice went up on 25 August 2026 but submission does not open until 6 October and closes 12 October, with opening the next day.
