Rajasthan PHED has split the upgrade of Jaipur’s water distribution network under AMRUT 2.0 into five packages worth ₹174.93 crore, and the first three of this Jaipur water supply tender round close at 6:00 PM on 2 November 2026.
The five packages
Three cover Jaipur Nagar Nigam Heritage, split by PHED division: Package I under City Division I North at ₹38,20,21,385, Package II under Division II North at ₹35,58,35,760, and Package III under Division III North at ₹11,00,36,282. These three include five years of operation and maintenance after a one-year defect liability period, have 540 days for the build and close on 2 November.
Package IV covers City Division I (South), also in the Heritage area, at ₹48,00,56,777 with 540 days. The fifth is for Jaipur Nagar Nigam Greater at ₹42,13,21,482 with 720 days. These two close a day later, at 6:00 PM on 3 November 2026.
Deposits, fees and meetings
Every package carries an EMD of 2 per cent, from ₹22,00,740 on Package III to ₹96,01,140 on Package IV, and exemption is allowed for eligible bidders. The fee is ₹10,000 on Packages I, III and IV and ₹25,000 on Package II and the Greater package. All are percentage rate contracts. Pre-bid meetings are at the office of the ACE PHED Region II, Jaipur, on 14 October: 11:00 AM for Packages I to III, 3:00 PM for Package IV and 4:00 PM for Greater.
At ₹11 crore to ₹48 crore a package, these suit mid-sized Jaipur contractors as well as larger firms willing to take more than one. Network replacement in the old city means narrow lanes, heavy traffic and constant road cutting, so compact backhoe loaders and mini excavators do most of the work, with plate and roller compactors for backfill and concrete mixers for chambers and road restoration. Fleet owners in Jaipur can expect steady hire through the build and the O&M years.
