MoRTH has two landslide treatment packages worth ₹129.49 crore open on the Uttarakhand hill highways, and both parts of the Uttarakhand landslide treatment pair close at 12:00 noon on 16 November 2026.
Eleven sites on one road, one bad crown on another
The larger package treats eleven landslide locations between Kotdwar and Dugadda on NH-534, the old NH-119, under the 2025-26 annual plan. It is worth ₹69,23,00,000 on EPC mode over 545 days, reference 1149/13 yata-NH-10/2026 dt. 13.04.2026.
The second deals with a single stretch, the crown portion at Totaghati from chainage 269.900 to 270.214 on NH-07, the old NH-58, worth ₹60,26,00,000 over 458 days, reference 1294/13Yata-NH-10/2026 dt. 29.04.2026. Totaghati is on the Rishikesh to Badrinath road and has been slipping for years. Three hundred metres costing ₹60 crore tells you how deep seated that failure is. Both packages come from the NH Uttarakhand PWD section at Dehradun under the Regional Officer there.
Deposits and the short window
EMD is ₹1,38,00,000 on the Kotdwar Dugadda package and ₹1,21,00,000 on Totaghati, each around 2 per cent, with no exemption on either. The fee is ₹11,800 per package. Both close at noon on 16 November and both open at 3:00 PM on 17 November.
Specialist work that still needs a yard full of machines
Slide treatment is anchoring, netting, drainage and toe protection rather than bulk earthwork, but you still need machines on site every day. A long reach excavator cuts the drilling platforms and clears debris after each wet spell, drilling rigs do the nails and anchors, and mixers feed shotcrete and grout. A crane places catch fences and precast toe units from the carriageway. Keep a backhoe loader for the cut off drains that stop water reaching the slip plane, because drainage is what actually fixes most of these failures. Char Dham traffic restricts working hours through the season, so plan the programme around the pilgrimage calendar.

What do the two Uttarakhand landslide treatment packages cover?
Treatment of eleven landslide locations between Kotdwar and Dugadda on NH-534, and the crown portion at Totaghati from Ch. 269.900 to 270.214 on NH-07.
What are they worth?
₹69,23,00,000 for the NH-534 package and ₹60,26,00,000 for Totaghati, ₹129.49 crore in total.
Why does 314 metres at Totaghati cost ₹60 crore?
It is a deep seated slope failure on the Rishikesh to Badrinath road, so the treatment goes well beyond surface repair into anchoring, drainage and toe protection.
When do they close?
Both close at 12:00 noon on 16 November 2026 and open at 3:00 PM on 17 November 2026.
