Varun Vihar Tender: Five Packages of Road, Sewer and Water Supply Work in Lucknow (Rs 182.99 Cr)

Lucknow Development Authority has split the infrastructure for its Varun Vihar housing scheme into five packages worth ₹182.99 crore together, and every part of the Varun Vihar tender closes at 3:00 PM on 3 November 2026.

Five parts of the same 60 metre road

All five notices cover development work along the 60 metre wide road in the Varun Vihar Awasiya Yojana: the road itself plus sewer lines, drains, trenching, water supply and culverts. They are lettered Part A to Part E and numbered 01 to 05 in reference series 113/E-NIVIDA/CE/2026-27. Every package was published on 13 October 2026, all close together on 3 November and all open at 4:00 PM on 4 November.

The values are Part B at ₹43,74,49,518, Part E at ₹40,80,19,340, Part C at ₹38,81,06,282, Part A at ₹29,90,84,791 and Part D at ₹29,72,92,832. Parts A, B and C carry 365 days, while Parts D and E carry 180 days, so the short packages are expected to finish inside one working year.

Deposits sized for mid-tier contractors

EMD runs from ₹59,45,900 on Part D to ₹87,49,000 on Part B, roughly 2 per cent in each case, with no exemption allowed. The fee is ₹4,366 for every package. A contractor with the capacity for one part can bid one; a larger firm can take several, and because all five sit on the same road the plant moves between them without re-mobilising.

Lucknow has other urban infrastructure work live for the same bidder pool, and highway contractors in the state can look at the Orai to Barah six-laning or the Shamli Gorakhpur expressway packages for larger work.

Trenching plant, not earthmoving plant

This is services work along a road corridor, so the fleet looks nothing like a highway job. Backhoe loaders are the main machine, digging sewer and water line trenches, lifting pipe and backfilling. Small compactors and plate compactors do the trench reinstatement, which is where most defects appear later.

Deeper sewer reaches and the culverts need an excavator and shoring, with mixers for culvert and chamber concrete. A motor grader comes in at the end for the road layers. For an owner with two or three backhoe loaders in Lucknow, five packages closing on one day is the best kind of news.
