Delhi PWD Storm Water Drain Tender: Two WR-2 Packages (Rs 81.90 Cr)

Delhi PWD’s West Road-2 division has two storm water drain and footpath packages worth ₹81.90 crore together, and both close on 14 September 2026, so this is a one-day window.

Two packages from one division

Both notices come from the same Executive Engineer, PWD Division West Road-2 (Sub Division WR-24), carry back-to-back reference numbers, were published on 21 August 2026 and close on the same day. They are written up here together because a contractor pricing one will want to look at the other.

The first package, worth ₹38.65 crore, remodels the storm water drain to the New Master Drainage Plan 2025 and repairs footpaths along Krishna Gyan Mandir Marg, Mahirishi Balmiki Road, A-250 to Shiv Mandir Road, Club Road and Vashisth Kumar Gulla Marg. The second, worth ₹43.25 crore, remodels the existing drain and repairs footpaths on Road No. 28, Shiv Mandir Road, North Avenue Road, Road No. 33 and Road No. 77. Shiv Mandir Road appears in both, so the two sites sit close together.

Who should look at the Delhi PWD storm water drain tender

Delhi drainage contractors who already hold PWD registration are the obvious bidders, and firms with footpath and kerb crews on the books can cover the whole scope in-house. Earnest money is ₹48,65,081 on the first package and ₹53,25,293 on the second, both about 1.2 to 1.3 per cent of the estimate, and there is no tender fee. Both are percentage-rate contracts with two covers and a 75-day bid validity. A corrigendum was issued on 3 September 2026 on each, so read it before you quote.

With bids closing on 14 September, this only makes sense for a firm that has already downloaded the documents or can turn a percentage around in a day.

Plant for urban drain work

Drain remodelling on built-up Delhi roads is tight, night-heavy work. Mini excavators and backhoe loaders do the digging where a full-size machine cannot swing, a hydra or small crane places precast drain sections and covers, and a compactor finishes the footpath base before paving. Tippers with short turnaround times clear spoil, and traffic diversion is part of the job, not an extra.
